| A Success Story |
| Friends, Wanted to share a success story with all of you. I have two players in 4 Seasons Basketball School that will be attending the Colorado State Basketball Tournament this week. Matt Pfalzgraff and Kasey Cox (my son). Against all odds these two have done what it takes to get to where they're at today. Every set back these two just kept working. Both not making the team their freshman year didn't stop them. Made them work even harder. In the gym all the time striving to reach their goals. Both now 2 year starters on the varsity have blossomed into team leaders on and off the court. Leading their team to two consecutive State Tournament births. This past weekend, in the Regional finals, we were up by 1 with 30 seconds to play. The opponents took a wide open shot that took the breath away from everyone watching. The shot went long but was rebounded by a wide open player on the box that appeared to have the game winning put back. But..... Kasey was not to be denied the chance to go back to the State Tournament and did not want his high school career to be over quite yet. As the player shot the ball Kasey got up and got the block (with no foul!), then grabbed the ball out of the air and held on. This was the 2nd time Kasey had a game winning block but never as crucial as this one. Needless to say I was a wreck. I'd much rather be on the bench coaching, rather then sitting in the stands as a parent! This is a great time for all my 4 Seasons players. I think they understand a little better what it takes to achieve their goals and to never give up your dreams. Never give UP! There are a few stories and articles on Matt & Kasey here on 4 Seasons, if you'd like to read about them and hear about the outcome of their journey "Living the Dream". Wish us Luck! One proud Coach |
