| 4 Seasons Basketball Shooting Workout This is designed to help you become a better shooter. It is a monitored program where you can keep track of your own improvment. Remember this is a Jump Shooters workout not for toe shooters. |
| 1. Have good body balance before you shoot, square the shoulders, hips and feet to the basket. 2. Never attempt wild or crazy shots. Don't throw up a prayer. 3. Don't force the shot. Shoot in rhythm. 4. Take the best shot available within the offensive system of your team. 5. See your shot before you shoot. Visualize the distance, arc, and the power required. 6. Concentrate before, during and after the shot. 7. Hold the ball loosely in the fingertips and avoid pressure from the thumbs. 8. Snap and hold your shooting arm and keep your follow through high. 9. Follow through, using backspin - don't lift the head to watch the ball. 10. Follow your shot to the middle of the lane. |

1. Shoot with confidence. Know that your shot is going in! 2. Start practicing your shot close to the basket. 3. Practice at top speed and get the ball away quickly - quick release. 4. Always practice game shots at game speed. Challenge your balance. 5. Shooting is strictly an offensive weapon. Pick your spots carefully. 6. Don't shoot when a teammate is in better position. 7. When in doubt, don't shoot. Remember, shoot with confidence. 8. Shoot when you are on; pass to a teammate when you are off. 9. Know the spots on the floor that you shoot the best from. 10. Be unselfish! |

| BE HONEST Your honesty will show during next season. GO GAME SPEED Shoot the same speed in the drills as you do in the game. Everything is a habit. Develop great habits. DO DRILL From start to finish without taking long breaks. This is a conditioner as well as a shooting work-out. You should be very tired at the end of the workout. WARM-UP When entering the gym always start with a good warm-up. 15 min. Don't start the shooting workout cold. (Ball Handling, Dribble Drills, Laps, Form Shooting (100)). |
