The Point Guard

As Player 1 brings the ball down and crosses half court the play begins.
The two wing players set picks on the low post players and role open to the ball. Seal your man & post up strong. Stay low and get wide. Want the Ball.

Player 1 must see the post as they seal their man. Make a strong pass inside if open.

Low post players then take their man to the corners.

The middle is wide open for the point guard or any player that knows he can beat his man. We can use any player at anytime durning a possession.

Player 1 beats his man with one or may be two moves. We like to think our players can beat their man with a strong cross-over move.

Use as much of the floor as you can. But be quick, set your man up.

Low post players will cut back door if their man leaves them to help on the open player 1. Cutting backdoor to the low block. Player 2 will take the responsibility for defense.
Player 1 options: Drive the lane. Shoot the jump shot. Pass to the backdoor cutter.

Take the shot if open, we are in good rebounding position.

We like using this play to start the game. Trying to get the first score and the first foul on the opposing team. Also gets my point guard's blood pumping.
