Player 1 screens away for Player 2 as does Player 4 for Player 5.

Player 2 & 5 sets his man up with a jab step away and comes off Player 1's shoulder.
Player 1 & 4 rolls open to the ball side.

Player 3 with the ball looks for the cutters to the free throw line & post. Make a good bounce pass to Player 2 or 5 if open.

Player 2 after receiving the ball can:

1. Continue to drive down the lane for a lay-up or possible pass to low post players.

Low Post Players, if Player 2 drives the lane take your man away. If your man picks up Player 2 on the drive move in behind your defender to the box for the backdoor dish.

2. Take the jump shot in the paint area.

Player 5 after receiving the ball can:

1. Use a post move to get a high % shot.
2. Kick it out to Player 3 that is moving to the open spot on the floor.


If Player 2 cannot get a good shot, he will dribble out to top of key continuing the offense.


Balance the floor.

If Player 2 does not receive the ball at the foul line he will continue the cut through the free throw line and out towards the ball to receive the pass from the wing Player 3.

Both wing players Player 3 & 1 screen down at the low post, roll and seal.

Players 4 & 5 wait for the screen and set your man up. Cut hard to the wings.

Player 2 look for a low post entry.

DO NOT FORCE THE PASS.

Player 2 if cannot hit low post, dribble to the opposite wing (wing player set your man up) and make a good bounce pass to the wing player, then screen away.

Note: Point player must see the floor. You may be able to beat your man down the middle if over played. We'll talk about that opption later.

Wing player make sure you set your man up. Keep him off balance, take him as low as you can so you can receive the ball closer to the basket.

This is the basic continuous movement of the Kansas Offense. Screen down, pass to wing, screen away, screen across.

Notes:
Look for the man that you'll be screening and SET the screen. HEAD HUNT!

Wing players set your man up to come off the screen.
